Alaa completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at Macquarie University. Before this, Alaa completed a Bachelor of Medical Science degree majoring in anatomy and physiology. He has extensive experience in private practice and providing sports coverage for several NPL football teams and representative schools.
Alaa has a special interest in treating acute sports injuries, providing post- operative rehab and managing workplace injuries. Alaa has training in dry needling for various areas of the body – including the lower back, neck, upper limb, and lower limb, releasing the soft tissue to improve function and reduce pain.
Alaa has a passion for improving individual function and optimizing health at all ages, whether it be for sport, work, or for any activities you wish to achieve in your day-to-day life. Alaa’s interests lie in and around manual therapy and exercise prescription with the goal of assisting his clients in achieving their goals, enabling them to return to their hobbies, occupations, and optimal health. Alaa is also dedicated to helping individuals with chronic pain, understanding that pain is complex and often influenced by multiple factors.
In his free time, Alaa enjoys spending time with his family, challenging himself at the gym, and embarking on weekend motorcycle adventures.
Alaa is available at Chatswood Allied Health on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. He works at our Haberfield Physiotherapy on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
